One of the questions I’m asked most often is: “You have several apartments — which one would you recommend for me?”
The honest answer is that there isn’t one apartment that’s best for everyone. All seven Stay With Mo apartments are beachfront and located in Asala, but they differ in size, layout, floor level and atmosphere. The right choice depends on who you’re travelling with and how you imagine spending your time in Dahab.
Here are a few things worth considering before you book.
How Many People Are You Travelling With?
This is the easiest place to start.
Some of my apartments are designed especially for two people, making them a great choice for couples or solo travellers. Others can comfortably accommodate three or four guests and offer more space for friends or families travelling together.
Norwegian Wood is a particularly lovely option for families. It has two bedrooms, including one with a bunk bed — something the kids tend to love.
If you’re travelling with a larger group, consider booking apartments in the main beachfront building. It contains five Stay With Mo apartments — Blues, Bossa Nova, Jazz, Soul, and The Penthouse — so you can stay close to one another while still enjoying the privacy of separate apartments.
And if you simply enjoy having more room, you may prefer one of the larger apartments even when travelling as a couple.
Which Floor Suits You Best?
The apartments are located on different levels, from the ground floor to the top floor, and each has its own advantages.
Blues and Bossa Nova are on the ground floor of the main beachfront building. They offer the easiest access and keep you especially close to the beach.
Jazz and Soul are located on the first floor of the same building. The Beachfront Loft and Norwegian Wood are also on the first floor, each in a separate beachfront building.
If privacy is your priority, consider The Beachfront Penthouse. It occupies the top floor of the main building, offering a more peaceful, secluded setting.
Before choosing, think about whether easy ground-floor access, a higher position, or greater privacy matters most to you.
What Kind of Outdoor Space Would You Enjoy?
Outdoor space can become one of the best parts of a stay in Dahab — whether you use it for slow breakfasts, reading, sunbathing, yoga, or relaxed evenings together.
Blues and Bossa Nova have ground-floor terraces, keeping you close to the beach and everything happening around it. Jazz and Soul each have a sea-view balcony on the first floor.
The Beachfront Loft has a particularly spacious balcony with room for both sun loungers and yoga mats. It’s a wonderful choice if you’re drawn to large windows, uninterrupted sea views, and plenty of space to spend time outside.
Norwegian Wood also has a small balcony, plus a large private rooftop. There is plenty of room upstairs for yoga, relaxing in the sun, or sitting together in the evening.
The Penthouse offers a large private terrace on the top floor, combining generous outdoor space with extra privacy.
Think about how you would most enjoy using your outdoor space — and let that guide your choice.
How Much Space Do You Need?
For a longer stay, a family holiday, or a trip that includes some remote work, a larger living area, an additional bedroom, or a dedicated workspace can make a real difference. Norwegian Wood works especially well for families, while the Penthouse is a great choice for guests who want more room and privacy.
The smaller apartments, meanwhile, provide an easy, cosy and cost effective base while still having all the comfort essentials at home
